Growing Leaders

In 2003, Denise Unruh, SCCF's Executive Director, applied for and received a grant from the Ewing Marion Kaufman Foundation to develop a philanthropy program for teens. SCCF was one of five Kansas foundations to receive this award, and "Youth Making a Difference" (YMAD) was born. SCCF is proud to be involved in helping teens be aware of their communities' needs. YMAD, with the support of SCCF, enables teens to become involved , learn about responsible grant making and make positive contributions in their counties.
