South Central Community Foundation honors the memory of Claudine F. Riney, who died on August 7, 2006. Claudine was a person who loved her community, was generous during her lifetime and understood how to continue giving to the community after her death.

In 1996 she gave a unique donation to SCCF: a portion of Stanton County land with the value of the land then placed in an unrestricted endowment fund. Annual Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) payments and gas royalties from this land have continued to generate income that is now used for community grants. These grants will continue forever.
