One of the exciting aspects of the program is that the youth will assess community needs and distribute grants to a variety of causes, programs and organizations. The council will be responsible to award dollars each year in grants to organizations that meet community needs.

2007-'08 marks YMAD's fifth year.  In the past four years, YMAD's youth have been responsible in awarding a total of $67,150 in grants within their seven counties. How many programs are you aware of where teens are the decision makers and responsible for dollars given back to their communites to make positive changes where they live?  YMAD is unique, innovative and awsome program! Helping teems learn to care about others and giving them the opportunity and skills to contribute to their communities is what "Youth Making a Difference" is all about.
